BlushTan is an organic-based spray tan company with over 30 locations across the country. Before I ventured out to freelance, I worked there as marketing manager and in-house graphic designer where I did everything from managing social media to directing photoshoots to creating packaging. It’s been over 4 years since I left my position there and I’ve continued to work as a contractor for owner/founder, Christina, on and off ever since. As a contractor, I’ve created printed marketing collateral such as pre & post tan care cards, loyalty cards, and more. I have also continued to do product & brand photography. I’m so proud to have continued a professional and personal relationship with the BlushTan family and am forever grateful to Christina for seeing what I was capable of and letting me run wild with all my creative ideas!

During my time there, I created packaging for 4 full-size products: the Hydrating Moisturizer, the Gradual Tanning Moisturizer, the Body Wash, and the Body Polish.

I made things like stickers and totes for events and promotions. In addition to designing them, I also helped source the product manufacturer.

For photoshoots, my boss would fill me in on her vision, and it was up to me to bring it to life. From handpicking models, to sourcing clothes, props, and photographers, I did it all. I would also create moodboards for each model- a collection of images that we wanted to capture. Then, on the day of the shoot, I would oversee the photographer and made sure the images captured fit the vision.
